Corbin Methvin
Chief Investment Officer
Corbin Methvin has served as Chief Investment Officer for the KFO since 2012 and is involved in all investment and operational activities. Corbin is responsible for overseeing firm capital activities, such as the sourcing, evaluating, structuring and managing of portfolio investments. Mr. Methvin focuses on opportunistic investments which may include publicly traded securities, alternative investments, venture capital, real estate, private equity and mezzanine debt. Prior to joining the KFO, Corbin was a Vice President at CSG Investments, an affiliate of Beal Bank, where he was responsible for underwriting financings. Corbin was also a Portfolio Manager at Highland Capital Management responsible for managing a $2 billion multi-industry portfolio of syndicated bank debt, high yield bonds, public equity, private equity and derivative investments. During his tenure at Highland, Corbin also worked as a Senior Portfolio Analyst where he spent extensive time performing quantitative fundamental credit research. Prior to that, he worked in the Royal Bank of Canada’s U.S. Debt Capital Markets Group as well as the Pension Consulting Group. Corbin received his M.B.A. from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and graduated with a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Oklahoma. Outside of work Corbin enjoys running, playing tennis and spending time with his wife and three kids. He also serves on the finance committee for his church and is a board member of the White Rock Lake Conservancy.
